A First Visit Overview of: The Magic Kingdom

When you think of the Walt Disney World Resort, Cinderella’s Castle probably comes to mind and The Magic Kingdom park is where you’ll find this iconic landmark. It opened its gates on October 1, 1971, and has since become one of the most visited theme parks in the world. Spanning over 100 acres, Magic Kingdom offers a magical and immersive experience for guests of all ages and is an absolute must-see on your next Walt Disney World vacation.

The Magic Kingdom is divided into six themed lands, each with its own unique atmosphere and attractions. Upon entering the park, guests are welcomed on Main Street, U.S.A., a charming street lined with shops, restaurants, and a nostalgic early 20th-century ambiance. (Fun fact! This land was designed after Walt Disney’s childhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri) At the end of Main Street, the iconic Cinderella Castle stands tall, serving as the park's centerpiece and symbol.

Liberty Square pays tribute to America's colonial heritage, featuring attractions such as the Haunted Mansion and the Hall of Presidents, an animatronic show showcasing the history of the United States.

Fantasyland is a realm of enchantment and fairy tales, where classic Disney stories come to life. Attractions like Peter Pan's Flight, It's a Small World, Mad Tea Party, and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train captivate guests with their magical settings and beloved characters.

The area is filled with colorful circus tents, fabulous characters, and the iconic Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction.
